The last thing anyone dealing with scabies wants is to spend lots of time cleaning and preparing their scabies treatment only to have the treatment fail and itching and rashes continue. Many people are experiencing treatment failure using Permethrin creams and lotions because they do not properly penetrate the skin leaving some scabies mites and eggs still living which results in you still being infected. Most people end up using scabies sulfur treatments after failed treatment with Permethrin, this is because sulfur is the ideal treatment for scabies and has been used for centuries to combat scabies, bird and even rat mites. Scabies sulfur creams have the ability to penetrate the skin deep enough to kill all scabies mites and eggs, the best part is you can use scabies sulfur creams to spot treat during the day or they can be used on consecutive nights which gives you a fail proof way to kill scabies. Tips for Using Sulfur Treatments-Apply scabies sprays here head to toe overnight for 14 hours. -Spot treat during the day on areas that show signs of scabies or itch. - scabies sprays can be used above the neck on the face and scalp. -Sulfur creams actually aid in post scabies healing so continue using them. -Loofah in the shower using scabies sprays. -Apply scabies creams on rashes and scars as it will fade them and kill any mites. - Sulfur creams can be used both during the day and night. Night time is more effective as scabies are more active. You should also keep in mind that you need to thoroughly clean your environment to avoid getting re-infected from items within your home as scabies re-infection occurs in over 90% of scabies cases due to the fact people fail to put a game plan together before treating and keeping up with cleaning after treatment. So if you are having troubles treating your scabies you should make use of scabies sprays and soaps as they will kill any scabies infection no matter how advanced it is!

I was unable to find sulfur cream, but a local Shoppers Drug Mart was able to order me some sulfur soap, $10 a bar, and its relatively small, but it has been damn worth it. The soap in addition to Olive Oil, is really helping. Been using the soap for two days, once in the morning, once at night, there have been no new bumps anywhere, and no night time itching. The olive oil really helps with what I assume is the post scabies itch. Whenever I feel an itch anywhere I rub the oil over the entire area and I'm all set
One thing about the soap, if you've scratched you skin raw, guilty, it will burn a little. Any open cuts or scabs, it burns. It's bearable though, just a warning. It also dries your skin out. So a moisturizer, or simply olive oil helps there too.

I've been using sulfur soap and it does sting quite a bit. I have not used perméthrine 5%, however. Before bed or after a shower, depending on if I showered ealier in the evening, I swab the entire surface of the skin with alcohol. I use rubbing alcohol compound with 95% ethanol anhydrous. Or I might forgo that and just continue with my regimen of slathering tea tree oil and then putting on extra strength gold bond powder. The alcohol is just so I can be sure that the skin doesn't become infected when it's trying to scab over, but now that I use the sulfur soap, I don't think that'll be a problem. I repeat this process in the morning. It has helped wonders and I can now sleep decently. Also, dandruff shampoo, specifically "Head and Shoulders", with pyrithione zinc seems to do something. I just happened to use it and the sulfur soap at the same time, so if you find out that the two chemicals were just reacting with each other, don't use them simultaneously.
Good luck.

My Grandfather suggested sulfur when I had scabies and it worked very well and fast. I can not compare the treatments as I never used the pesticide one and kinda glad I never after doing some reading about it. In my experience scabies itching lasted for 2-3 days after treatment then it went away, I also moisturized my skin daily and used a loofah with the sulfur soaps.

Yeh, the sulphur cure certainly does the business when it comes to killing scabies mites. As well as the sulphur soap you can get topical creams which contain sulphur or make your own. Buy some sulphur powder and mix it either with vasiline (this gets really messy) or some other kind of base lotion/cream which will be easily absorbed into your skin. Apply this from the neck down - make sure you wear something old and use old bedding 'cos the sulphur will not only smell horrid but it will stain badly. Wash off in the morning using your sulphur soap.

Thank you I used the creams for 3 days during the night time and my scabies are gone. It did however dry my skin a bit but I am not using cocoa butter like suggested on this forum and it appears my skin is now back to normal.
Thank you!

I used sulfur scabies products and soaps and my scabies were gone within a couple days so it certainly does work. Just be sure to use the creams full body overnight so you kill all the scabies and eggs. I also cleaned my house daily for a few days paying careful attention to areas I used lots (tip I got on here). Anyways there is no need to use pesticides when you can just use sulfur which is natural and works better!

Thank you! I had no luck using Permethrin based scabies treatments as it only provided temporary relief and the itching and rashes just continued a few days later. The sulfur killed my scabies within two nights of full body application and have no felt an itch or seen a rash since and it has been weeks. Really appreciate your advice as I had also grabbed epsom salts from the local pharmacy and some cocoa butter. Glad things are back to normal now and scabies are a thing of the past. I hope everyone around here the best.
Good luck!

Thank you very much thought this was never going to end as the pharmacy creams did nothing but make my itching worse and my skin way worse.
God Bless

Use it fullbody for 14 hours overnight for a few nights. You can also spot treat on areas that itch or show signs of active scabies during the day. This will be enough to easily get rid of any scabies infection.

It works very well and only has a sight smell of lime but that is regular with sulfur product especially the creams. Regardless the creams and soaps kill scabies and that is all that matters!

Sulfur has been used for scabies treatments even before pesticides were created and it does a better job at killing both scabies mites and their eggs. It is also effective against rat and bird mites.

I was kinda skeptical at first but after one night of using the creams the itching and scabies are gone. This is now 5 days later as I did not want to celebrate in advance to have the mites come back but I am now completely over scabies. I will however continue to take epsom salt baths and use the sulfur soaps for a few weeks just incase.

It worked for me very quickly but left my skin kinda dry but that is a small price to finally sleep again without all the itching...
Thanks for the tips

Is it normal to get water blisters on the tops of my hands 2 days after scabies treatment? They are not itching and I no longer itch or show rashes but I do have some water type blisters that appear on the top of my hand and knuckles. Is this normal in post scabies?
Yes, it's normal. I had them for several months but don't worry.

Can you use the sulfur on spots during the daytime? Some areas on my elbows and hands are really dried out but the sulfur does appear to be killing the scabies. Should I continue using it on areas that are dry and scaley? Or how about mixing it with a moisturizer?

Thank you. It worked very quickly and without the sick feeling the Permethrin lotion gave me...

Does sulfur come in both cream and lotion form? And if so which one would be better and should I get the sulfur soaps as well?

Can you use sulfur treatments in your scalp if you think scabies are in your scalp area?
Question 1: How much % of Sulfur should be there in vaseline or lotion?
Question 2: In which form sulfur could be used on the hairs? Shampoo? soap?
Atleast an 8-10% sulfur mixture would be effective in treating scabies. On the scalp the same thing. You can use sulfur anywhere as it is natural and safe!
