Hey guys;

I was just diagnosed with scabies last week and have already applied two times permethrin cream as directed and it never did nothing but make me nautious and sick feeling for a few days and the itching and rashes just returned. So frustrating considering I am losing hours at work because of this and the prescribed cream is not even working as it states. I am losing my mind here with the lack of sleep and constant itching and now the rashes are starting to appear on areas of my skin that clothing does not cover so we can say people around me will likely know. Anyways I was hoping someone knows why these treatments are failing and has anyone else had a similar story? I just now ordered some sulfur creams and soaps and I really hope these work because I do not want to play a lets schedule a skin specialist appointment cause that could take months and by then likely my scabies would be alot worse. Any advice I will consider as I am just trying to get rid of scabies as quickly as possible at this point.

Thanks

Lana

I had no luck with permethrin either and never found something that worked till I got to this forum a few weeks ago. I treated with permethrin 5 times without it working but eventually used sulfur creams and soaps which worked. Here is what you need:

Scabies Starter pack sulfur soaps and creams

Just visit that link above that is all you need to beat scabies on one person. I am not sure if this would help for one or more as I just live alone and have no other people living here but it was enough to beat my scabies infection!

Hope this helps!

Also worth noting is that permethrin crap is a pesticide and it will make your skin more itchy than the scabie itself for up to a week after treatment. I used it and it made my condition worse as my skin erupted in new lesions and I had both the scabies itch and the pesticide itch not to mention it made me sick for a few days. My suggestion is try treating with natural scabies treatments before you start applying pesticides to your body. Ask your doctor about doing sulfur treatments rather than pesticides.

I had the same experience. I used two treatments of scabies, 3 days apart, and went to my dermatologist in a panicked frenzy an entire 7 days after I'd put on the last treatment and had had new bumps stil appearing even the night before, crying that it wasn't working and had him scrape the new bumps that were even worse than before and itchy on my hand. pic He took a scraping, and said he didn't see any scabies mites. I wasn't sleeping and he gave me Hydroxazine, and anti histamine that also makes you sleepy. I shut myself away from everyone in my life, and gradualy the bumps went away with the help of Vaseline Lotion "Reparining Moisture". I feel that a lot of my pain and discomfort came from the dry skin; dry skin caused by the permethrin since it is, after all, a PESTICIDE on your skin. Try it, go to your dermatologist asap and listen to the song "Don't Worry be Happy" by Bobby McFerin and "Up and Up" by Reliant K. I care and hope you get better.

Just use sulfur treatments then as it is the most effective scabies treatment and has been successfully used against scabies, rat and bird mites for centuries. It is also safe too so you wont experience any of the itching side effects that come with permethrin use. Remember that permethrin is a pesticide and can be very dangerous.
